Akshay Kumar Completes Kerala Shoot for New Film

Akshay Kumar has officially wrapped up the Kerala shooting schedule for his upcoming film, directed by Anees Bazmee. He shared the news on May 5, 2026, celebrating the end of a busy shoot across stunning locations like Munnar and Marayoor.

In a recent social media post, Akshay shared a picture featuring his co-stars Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna against a backdrop showcasing Kerala’s vibrant culture. The image included performers dressed in traditional costumes representing local art forms such as Kathakali and Mohiniyattam, reflecting the rich heritage of the area often dubbed “God’s Own Country.”

In the photo, Akshay sported a sleek dark grey outfit with sunglasses, while Vidya wore a stylish oversized white shirt paired with jeans, and Raashii looked elegant in a black dress. The presence of traditional performers behind them added a beautiful cultural touch to the scene.

Akshay expressed his gratitude, stating, “Keralam schedule wrapped! Nothing beats working with good people in a beautiful place. Big love to our director Anees Bazmee for the madness behind the camera and to my incredible co-stars Vidya, Raashii, Chota Rajpal, and the entire crew! This one’s been special ♥️.”

The Kerala shoot commenced on April 23, where both Akshay and Vidya were seen boarding a private jet to begin filming. This schedule focused on outdoor scenes, taking advantage of the region’s breathtaking landscapes.

This film marks the fourth collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan and brings him back together with director Anees Bazmee after a 15-year hiatus. The film is believed to be a comedy and is rumored to be inspired by the Telugu movie Sankranthiki Vasthunam, although official confirmation on this has yet to be provided.

This wrap comes shortly after the release of Akshay’s latest film Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. The excitement continues to build as fans look forward to what comes next!
