DeepRoute.ai Showcases Innovations in Physical AI at Beijing Automotive Exhibition
BEIJING, April 29, 2026 — DeepRoute.ai recently made a significant appearance at the 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, commonly known as “Auto China.” The company held a press conference to highlight its latest advancements in Physical AI. During the event, CEO Maxwell Zhou shared insights about the company’s mission and future aspirations in the realm of intelligent driving systems.
Zhou began by reminiscing about a traffic accident he witnessed while starting his journey as an entrepreneur in 2016. He expressed his desire to see AI technology help prevent such tragedies, remarking, “I wondered whether we could use AI technology to save more lives.” He acknowledged that while current intelligent driving systems still have room for improvement, they are already proving to be safer than human drivers in many cases.
Looking ahead, Zhou conveyed a long-term vision for DeepRoute.ai, stating, “I hope that in the future, our company will become the AI foundation for the physical world, much like telecommunications and electricity are today.”
Advancements in AI by Chief Scientist Chong Ruan
Chong Ruan, DeepRoute.ai’s Chief Scientist, also took the stage to introduce the company’s Foundation Model. Ruan, who has an extensive background in multimodal AI, discussed the challenges faced by earlier driving systems, which often struggled in complex scenarios. He emphasized that these systems need a reliable foundation to gain users’ trust.
DeepRoute.ai’s Foundation Model aims to integrate several critical aspects of driving, such as decision-making and scene understanding, into one efficient framework. This updated model allows for quicker data processing and improved functionality, reducing operational tasks from about five days to just twelve hours.
Ruan pointed out that the Foundations Model not only enhances product capability but also transforms how the organization operates, streamlining R&D processes and enhancing collaboration.
Industry Dialogue on the Purpose of AI
The event also featured a panel discussion themed “AI for what,” moderated by Li Zhang from Fudan University’s School of Data Science. Participants included industry leaders who debated crucial questions regarding the real-world implications of AI technologies, focusing not merely on capabilities but on the fundamental objectives of Artificial Intelligence.
A New Era of Physical AI
During the exhibition, DeepRoute.ai introduced its Cabin-Driving Integration Agent, an innovative feature going beyond regular in-car assistants. This new function aims to turn the vehicle into an AI Brain that can proactively address user needs under various conditions.
The company reported that its Urban NOA solution has now been integrated into over 300,000 vehicles, accumulating more than 1.3 billion kilometers of real-world driving data. This wealth of information supports the continued enhancement of their driving systems.
Looking ahead to 2026, DeepRoute.ai has ambitious goals, including delivering over a million advanced intelligent driving systems and significantly improving safety metrics.
As it strides into the future, DeepRoute.ai is set to play a pivotal role in the evolution of Physical AI, shaping a safer and more intelligent driving experience for all.
