Iceland Cricket Takes a Cheeky Swing at Pakistan Over Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s Bat

Iceland Cricket recently poked fun at Pakistan cricket regarding the rising star, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who is rumored to have AI chips in his bat. According to some claims, these chips have helped the talented 15-year-old hit some of the toughest bowlers with surprising ease. The social media account even humorously asked for the “AI chips” used by Sooryavanshi to boost the performance of their own players.

Sooryavanshi has been a standout in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), showcasing his incredible hitting skills against well-known bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins, all of whom he hit for significant sixes. The young batsman is now a contender for the Orange Cap, outpacing seasoned players such as Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.

Adding to the banter, Pakistan cricket analyst Nauman Niaz jokingly suggested that there might be some truth to the AI chip rumors in a viral YouTube clip. He commented, “What is this kid? Get his bat checked! He’s unreal—such a player at just 16 years old.” He further noted that even though Sooryavanshi is young, he has remarkable technique and uses the full range of his hitting capabilities.

Iceland Cricket, known for its witty takes on social media, sought information about these alleged AI chips, leading to a flurry of playful trolling directed at Pakistan cricket. Some fans chimed in with jokes, speculating that Sooryavanshi’s technology might come from another planet, while others joked that it resembled the “spring” in the bat of former Australian captain Ricky Ponting.

Currently, Sooryavanshi holds the Orange Cap after an impressive performance for the Rajasthan Royals against the Punjab Kings. He scored 43 runs off just 16 balls before being dismissed during the powerplay. The Royals secured their first win of the season, climbing up to third place in the points table. Sooryavanshi has set records as the fastest player to reach 400 runs in a single IPL season, boasting a striking strike rate of 238.10.

He will next be seen in action against the Delhi Capitals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 1. Fans are eager to see whether he can continue his exceptional run.
