Vikram Bhatt Looks Forward to Haunted – Echoes Of The Past
Director Vikram Bhatt is set to make waves again with his upcoming film, Haunted – Echoes Of The Past, which is scheduled to be released on June 12. The film follows the success of Haunted 3D from 2011, a movie that played a significant role in popularizing 3D cinema in Bollywood.
Originally titled Haunted – Ghosts Of The Past, the film underwent a name change recently. In a conversation, Bhatt explained the reasoning behind this shift. He shared that during a turbulent time in his life, a close friend suggested that the word “Ghost” in the title might be bringing bad luck. In a light-hearted manner, Bhatt mentioned, “We decided to remove it, so Echoes Of The Past was born.”
Bhatt, who admitted that he hadn’t thought much about superstitions before, joked, “You can’t make a ghost film without believing in superstition.”
Another point of discussion was the criticism surrounding the use of AI in the film’s motion poster. Bhatt clarified that while motion posters can involve advanced technology, “there’s absolutely no AI in the film at all.”
Fans can expect a teaser for Haunted – Echoes Of The Past to be released later this month. The film stars Mimoh Chakraborty alongside Chetna Pande, Shruti Prakash, Gaurav Bajpai, Praneet Bhatt, and Hemant Pandey. It’s produced by Anand Pandit and Rakesh Juneja, with worldwide distribution handled by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.
With such a promising lineup, anticipation is building for this latest addition to the Haunted franchise.
