Recently, an Instagram account shared the news that a sequel to Fighter (2024) is in the works and will start filming this year. The film’s director and one of the producers, Siddharth Anand, commented with an evil eye emoji, which many interpreted as a sign that this news is true.

However, sources close to the situation reveal that there is no truth to the rumors about Fighter 2. A source stated, “There is no conversation happening between Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth regarding Fighter 2. These rumors are unfounded.”

Hrithik Roshan has recently announced two projects under his company, HRX Films. He is actively involved in the creative development of a web series called Storm and a comedy film titled Mess, both produced in partnership with Amazon Prime Video. In addition to these projects, Hrithik is focusing on the pre-production of the highly anticipated Krrish 4, which he will also direct, marking his debut in this role. He is also teaming up with Hombale Films, known for KGF and Kantara, on an ambitious new project.

Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand is busy filming King, starring a star-studded cast that includes Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and others. The exciting first look teaser was released on November 2, coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday. The film is set to hit theaters on December 24, 2026.

About Fighter

Fighter takes place in 2019 and follows an Indian Air Force unit called the Air Dragons. The team includes Squadron Leaders Shamsher Pathania (Hrithik Roshan), Minal Rathore (Deepika Padukone), Sartaj Gill (Karan Singh Grover), Basheer Khan (Akshay Oberoi), and others, led by Rakesh Jai Singh (Anil Kapoor). The unit plays a crucial role in responding to the Pulwama attack by successfully taking down a military base in Balakot, Pakistan, while also confronting the terrorist mastermind Azhar Akhtar (Rishabh Ravinder Sawhney). The unfolding events form the core of the story.
