Vikas Khanna Recognized in TIME100 List for 2026
Chef Vikas Khanna has been included in the prestigious TIME100 list for 2026, an honor that identifies him as one of the most influential individuals worldwide this year. Each year, this list shines a light on those who have greatly impacted fields like culture, innovation, and leadership.
Khanna, a renowned chef, restaurateur, author, and filmmaker, has significantly contributed to promoting Indian cuisine on a global level. His restaurant, Bungalow, located in New York, has gained attention for its immersive dining experience that highlights Indian heritage. Additionally, his previous restaurant, Junoon, impressed food critics and garnered multiple Michelin stars over the years.
Many in India recognize Khanna from his role as a judge on MasterChef India, where his guidance has inspired numerous aspiring chefs. He has written over 40 books that explore Indian culinary traditions and has ventured into filmmaking, directing the movie The Last Color. His upcoming film, Imaginary Rain, will delve into culinary themes set in New York.
Khanna is also dedicated to humanitarian efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he initiated the Feed India campaign, which provided food relief to millions in various cities. His commitment to philanthropy continues through his non-profit work.
