Praful Hinge Shines in IPL Debut with Stellar Performance
The art of manifestation has gained a lot of fans, and one of them is Praful Hinge. The young pacer made headlines during his debut for the Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Rajasthan Royals on April 13, proving that big dreams can indeed come true.
In just his second T20 match, the 24-year-old bowled an incredible spell, taking four wickets for 34 runs in four overs, effectively dismantling the Rajasthan side at Uppal. Hinge made an immediate impact, dismissing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi with his second delivery and following up with the quick dismissals of Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorious in the same over.
He returned to claim the key wicket of RR captain Riyan Parag, leaving the team in dire straits at 9 for 5 within three overs. Hinge credited his well-planned strategy for achieving such success.
“I wanted to get Sooryavanshi out with a bouncer,” he shared. “I told a couple of people before the match that I aimed to get him out on my first ball, either by a bouncer or some other means.”
The initial wicket was particularly satisfying for Hinge. “Our bowling coach, Varun bhaiya, was a big help, and I’m grateful to everyone who supported me,” he added.
A Journey from Tennis Ball Cricket
Praful Hinge has also built a strong reputation in domestic cricket, having taken 27 wickets in 10 first-class matches with an impressive average. His journey, however, began in the streets with tennis ball cricket.
“I started playing cricket at the age of eight. I didn’t even know about leather-ball cricket back then. At 13, I begged my father to let me join a club. Initially, he refused a few times, thinking I was too young, but eventually, he agreed,” Hinge recalled. “Playing at this level now feels fantastic, and I’m thankful for it.”
He expressed deep gratitude for his family, saying, “I want to dedicate this achievement to them. Their sacrifices have made a huge difference in my life.”
Hinge’s ability to manifest his dreams has also played a critical role in his success. He admitted that he wrote down his aspirations for his IPL debut, including taking four or five wickets.
“I manifested this last year. If I made my debut, I wanted to take 4-5 wickets and shine during the powerplay. I truly believe in the power of manifestation,” Hinge stated.
With his impressive skills, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have found a potent new option in Hinge as they prepare to face the Chennai Super Kings in their next home game on April 18.
