Sinopec Launches China’s First Global Bunkering Business Center
China’s Sinopec has officially introduced its first global bunkering business center, which aims to enhance its international marine fuel services. This new center, managed by Sinopec Fuel Oil Company, seeks to streamline the process for shipowners by providing a one-stop solution. It covers everything from inquiries and pricing to supply, contract execution, and post-delivery support.
The center will be backed by a dedicated team of client managers and a centralized operations and analytics group. This team will ensure that services are available around the clock across Sinopec’s global supply network.
Sinopec’s initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen its position in the international bunkering market. By utilizing its expansive refining and logistics network, the company aims to deliver integrated fuel supply services.
The center offers a range of traditional fuels, as well as alternative marine energy options like biofuels, LNG, and methanol, which align with the increasing demand for lower-carbon fuel solutions. Sinopec believes this platform will foster further growth in alternative fuels and improve service consistency in its bunkering operations.
