In a social media post, Shankar expressed his frustration, stating that the rumors were misleading and based on misunderstandings of his earlier statements. He explained, “Some fake news is being spread in my name about a big film. It’s completely false and has almost no truth in it. A simple interview about my work has been taken out of context and turned into a clickbait headline. Please ignore it.”
The confusion seems to have started from an interview where Shankar discussed the various challenges the film faces. While he confirmed he was involved in the screenplay discussions, he mentioned that the project is currently experiencing delays due to ongoing legal issues.
