Body Found in Colombia Likely Belongs to Missing American Flight Attendant
Authorities in Colombia have announced the discovery of a body that is believed to be that of an American flight attendant who went missing. The local mayor, Federico Gutiérrez, confirmed that the individual, identified as Eric Fernando Gutierrez Molina, was last seen in the country.
Eric, a 32-year-old flight attendant for American Airlines from Texas, had been reported missing since last Sunday. In a post shared on social media, Mayor Gutiérrez expressed the community’s concern, stating, “We have been searching for Eric Gutiérrez, who is a U.S. citizen and is currently missing.”
According to the mayor, the lifeless body was found in a location between Jericó and Puente Iglesias. He indicated there is a strong likelihood that this body is Eric’s.
American Airlines has expressed its sadness over the tragic news, stating, “We are heartbroken by the passing of our colleague.” The airline further added that their thoughts are with Eric’s family and friends during this painful time.
The company has also pledged its support to local authorities in their investigation as they work to uncover the circumstances surrounding Eric’s disappearance.
