Anurag Kashyap, a well-known filmmaker, has openly criticized the recent movie The Kerala Story, which has stirred controversy for its portrayal of sensitive issues. He is one of the few prominent voices in the Hindi film industry to address the film’s alleged Islamophobic themes.

Kashyap doesn’t hold back, calling the film “propaganda” and questioning specific scenes from its trailer. In particular, he refers to a moment involving a woman being force-fed beef, asking rhetorically, “Who feeds someone beef like this? No one even serves khichdi in that manner.” His comments highlight his disbelief at the film’s portrayal of such incidents.

Continuing his critique, Kashyap accuses the filmmaker, Vipul Shah, of being driven by greed. He claims that the intention behind the film is profit rather than meaningful storytelling, suggesting that it aims to create divisions among people.

Kashyap’s outspoken remarks have contributed to the ongoing debate around the film, which many feel crosses a line in its representation of certain communities. His willingness to speak out demonstrates the importance of dialogue in the film industry on sensitive social issues.
