Shahid Kapoor’s ‘O’Romeo’ Faces Rating Block on BookMyShow
The new film O’Romeo, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, has had its audience ratings disabled on the popular ticketing site BookMyShow. This unusual decision came after a court order, shortly after the movie’s release on February 13, 2026.
Initially, the movie received a mixed reception at the box office, with the audience rating starting at 6.8 and climbing to 7 by the second day. However, this rating was removed, leaving a note on the BookMyShow page stating, “Reviews and ratings disabled as per court order.”
Neither the platform nor the filmmakers have provided much detail about the reasoning behind this legal action. Experts suggest that the move may be a precaution against organized negative reviews, a tactic known as “review bombing,” which can unfairly influence public opinion.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O’Romeo is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and features a talented cast including Vikrant Massey, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Nana Patekar. The film has sparked varied responses from viewers, with some appreciating its ambitious style while others found its pacing and storytelling lacking.
As audiences await further developments, the film continues to draw attention for both its creative elements and the unusual circumstances surrounding its reception.
