Ayushmann Khurrana recently delighted audiences with his entertaining role in the horror comedy Thamma (2025). However, his much-anticipated film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is no longer set to hit theaters on Holi as originally planned.
According to sources, the film’s release has been postponed from its scheduled date of March 4. The team behind the movie is still finalizing post-production work and needs to shoot one of the songs. They want to ensure that the film meets their high standards before it reaches audiences. A new release date is expected to be announced soon.
With the March 4 spot now open, there’s speculation about which film might take its place. A film expert pointed out that the beginning of Ramzan will coincide with this date, and two highly awaited films, Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic, are planned for release on March 19. Additionally, the semi-finals and finals of the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup will take place between March 4 and 8. However, since Holi falls on a Wednesday, any film that releases on March 4 could benefit from a long weekend, providing a two-week opportunity at the box office.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do features not only Ayushmann Khurrana but also Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film tells the quirky story of Prajapati Pandey, blending comedy, drama, and romance. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra, with creative direction from Juno Chopra.
The previous installment, Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), also directed by Mudassar Aziz, enjoyed success, raking in Rs. 86.89 crores. Consequently, there are high hopes for Pati Patni Aur Woh Do as well.
