Kidnapping in Mexico: Arizona Influencer Taken at Gunpoint
In a shocking incident captured on video, Nicole Pardo Molina, a 20-year-old Mexican-American influencer, was kidnapped outside a shopping center in Culiacán, Mexico. Known for her eye-catching lilac Cybertruck, the young woman reportedly had ties to the local community and was selling merchandise featuring a notorious cartel leader.
The distressing event unfolded on Tuesday when armed men in a white Toyota Corolla blocked Molina’s vehicle with tire spikes, forcing her to stop. Video footage showed Molina desperately trying to escape, but the attackers managed to overpower her and drag her into their car.
According to authorities, the location where Molina was abducted is known for cartel activity, which raises concerns about a potential link to ongoing rivalries in the area. Investigations are underway, and a missing persons case has been opened for Molina, who has a significant social media following and was well-known locally.
Officials have indicated that Molina’s safety may be at risk, as they currently have no information on her whereabouts. Although prior to the abduction there were no confirmed criminal ties, reports speculate that this kidnapping could be related to the violent turf wars among competing cartels.
Molina was originally from the U.S. and often traveled back and forth between her home in Phoenix, Arizona, and Culiacán, where she was pursuing various business opportunities. Tragically, Sinaloa has seen a rise in kidnappings, particularly among social media influencers, raising concerns about the dangers they face for their associations or content.
As the investigation continues, the community hopes for Molina’s safe return, amid ongoing fears surrounding crime and violence in the region.
