Veteran actor Anupam Kher reached an exciting milestone in his career on January 3, 2026, as he began filming his 550th film, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. Sharing this significant moment with his fans on social media, Kher reflected on his long journey in Indian cinema, expressing that this achievement is rooted in gratitude rather than an endpoint.
In an emotional message, Kher recalled an international director calling him the “Marathon Man of Indian Cinema” at the Cannes Film Festival, impressed by his extensive body of work. As he kicked off the sequel’s filming in Delhi, Kher wrote, “Today, as I start my 550th film #KhoslaKaGhosla2, my heart is filled with GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS!”
Kher reminisced about arriving in Mumbai on June 3, 1981, without any idea that such a remarkable landmark awaited him. He expressed surprise at reaching 550 films, mentioning that he feels this is just an “interval point” in his life and career. “Dreams have no EXPIRY date!” he added.
The actor attributed his longevity in the industry to his optimism, hard work, and the support he received throughout his career from producers, directors, co-actors, technicians, and especially his audience. He concluded with a heartfelt message of gratitude, signing off with “Jai Ho! Jai Hind! Om Namah Shivay!”
Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 is a follow-up to the beloved 2006 film Khosla Ka Ghosla, where Kher played the role of Kamal Kishore Khosla, the middle-class patriarch. Directed by Umesh Bist, known for Pagglait, the sequel aims to revisit the Khosla family through a modern lens while keeping the humor and emotional depth that fans loved in the original.
