Dharma Productions has made a significant move by taking full control of its talent management initiative, previously known as the Dharma Cornerstone Agency, and rebranding it as the Dharma Collab Artists Agency (DCAA). This strategic decision marks an expansion of Dharma’s role beyond just filmmaking into a broader cultural and talent arena.
With the new name, DCAA will serve as the exclusive platform for the agency’s talent representation, covering various sectors such as film, music, sports, digital media, live events, and cultural partnerships. The agency will continue to be directed by Uday Singh Gauri as CEO and Rajeev Masand as COO, ensuring a smooth transition as they look forward to this next phase.
Uday Singh Gauri, who has more than 20 years of experience in talent management and entertainment, is set to focus on widening the agency’s influence and creating new opportunities. The leadership aims to assist artists in navigating careers that span multiple formats rather than being confined to one medium.
Apoorva Mehta, the CEO of Dharma Productions, expressed that talent has always been at the heart of Dharma’s identity, shaping creative decisions and future plans. He believes that with DCAA, they are establishing a structured platform that provides support across various artistic fields.
Uday Singh Gauri also emphasized that the new agency would reflect the modern ways artists work and grow. He pointed out that representation goes beyond just negotiations; it requires a deep understanding of culture and business acumen, adapting to changes in the industry. Their goal is to build long-lasting careers in diverse formats while fostering genuine connections between talent and opportunities.
DCAA currently represents a wide range of clients, including popular film actors, musicians, and digital creators like Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, and more.
Founded in 1976 by the late Yash Johar and now co-owned by Karan Johar and Adar Poonawalla, Dharma Productions has built a strong reputation for nurturing new talent and producing successful films. With the launch of DCAA, the studio aims to extend its legacy into artist management, solidifying its role as a key player in shaping careers in the entertainment industry.
