Traffic Restrictions in Delhi for Putin’s Visit
Traffic restrictions are being enforced across various areas in Delhi on Friday, December 5, 2025, due to the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Delhi Police has issued an advisory urging commuters to plan their journeys carefully.
During his trip, President Putin is scheduled to visit several important locations, including Rajghat, Bharat Mandapam, Hyderabad House, and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Office workers and daily commuters can expect diversions on key roads, such as Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, and Janpath Road. Other affected areas include the Pragati Maidan tunnel and ITO Chowk.
The advisory indicates that certain roads will see traffic restrictions from 9 AM to 12 PM, covering areas like W Point, A Point, ITO Chowk, and several others. Notably, the MGM Pragati Maidan Tunnel towards Hanuman Setu will be closed for the duration of these restrictions, so commuters are advised to use alternative routes.
Please plan your travels accordingly to avoid delays.
