Actor Celina Jaitly has recently taken a significant step by filing a domestic violence complaint against her husband, Peter Haag, in Mumbai. This complaint has been officially submitted to the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri, and the court has acknowledged it. A notice has been issued to Haag, with a response expected by December 12.
Celina’s lawyer, Niharika Karanjawala, shared with the media that the complaint reveals years of alleged abuse, encompassing both physical and emotional distress that Jaitly endured during her marriage. Karanjawala noted that the claims involve manipulative behavior and coercive tactics by Haag.
In addition to the domestic violence case, separate civil proceedings are also taking place concerning a property owned by Jaitly. Her lawyer claimed that Haag allegedly manipulated matters to obtain the property’s gift deed.
Jaitly is seeking various types of relief, including monthly maintenance of Rs 10 lakhs and a total of Rs 100 crores in damages. Karanjawala explained that part of this amount is for potential earnings lost when Jaitly felt pressured to step back from her career during a high point in her professional life. Another portion of the claim addresses pain and suffering.
The upcoming court hearing on December 12 will provide more clarity on the situation, and Jaitly’s main focus remains her three children, who currently reside with Haag in Austria.
