The film industry and fans are deeply concerned for veteran actor Dharmendra, who is currently in Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to health issues. The 89-year-old star’s condition has led to the postponement of the much-anticipated trailer launch for the film Dhurandhar. Originally set for tomorrow at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, the event will now be delayed for a week.
A source revealed that the film’s team, including director Aditya Dhar and lead actor Ranveer Singh, who hold Dharmendra in high regard, felt it was not appropriate to proceed with the launch given the circumstances. They were all shaken by the news of his hospitalization.
Additionally, a recent blast in Delhi on November 10 added to the seriousness of the situation. Out of respect for both the victims of this tragic event and Dharmendra’s health, the decision to delay the trailer release was made unanimously by Jio Studios and other partners involved with the film.
The trailer launch was expected to draw around 2,000 fans, celebrating an action-packed film that also features stars like Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, with a release date set for December 5.
In other news, the music launch event for Tere Ishk Mein, scheduled for today at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai, has also been canceled due to concerns over Dharmendra’s health. This event was meant to feature notable personalities like Dhanush, Kriti Sanon, and renowned music composer A R Rahman, who was set to perform at the occasion.
As the film community rallies together, everyone is hoping for a swift recovery for the beloved actor.
