Boney Kapoor Clarifies Varun Dhawan’s Involvement in No Entry Sequel
Producer Boney Kapoor has addressed the recent buzz surrounding Varun Dhawan’s participation in the highly-anticipated sequel, No Entry Mein Entry. Reports had suggested that Dhawan stepped away from the project due to scheduling issues, especially after actor Diljit Dosanjh left the film.
Over the weekend, sources indicated that Varun was initially eager to join No Entry 2. However, complications arose when changes in production dates followed Dosanjh’s exit. A statement indicated that Varun’s schedule was now committed to Bhediya 2. The news led to speculation that the film’s team might have to start the casting process from scratch.
In response to these rumors, Boney Kapoor stated, “We are continuing with No Entry Mein Entry, and both Varun and Arjun are still part of the film. We are actively working on finalizing the rest of the cast.”
Previously, Kapoor confirmed that Diljit Dosanjh was no longer involved due to date conflicts, and expressed hopes of collaborating with him on a Punjabi film soon. Dosanjh’s busy schedule, including an upcoming tour in Australia and New Zealand, compounded the difficulties in aligning filming timelines.
The original No Entry, released in 2005 and directed by Anees Bazmee, featured stars like Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor. The film became one of the biggest comedies of its era and celebrated its 20th anniversary in August 2025.
In 2024, Boney Kapoor along with Anees Bazmee announced the sequel featuring a younger cast, vowing to present a fresh take on the beloved comedy.
