Adva Network Security Unveils New Software for Streamlined Security Management
Adva Network Security has introduced a new software solution called Security Director, aimed at making security processes easier and more efficient. This innovative tool is designed to automate essential security tasks, which not only cuts down on human errors but also helps organizations comply with various regulatory standards.
With Security Director, IT teams can now access real-time compliance scores based on German, EU, and international security guidelines. This allows them to quickly assess their security status at any given moment. The platform seamlessly integrates with existing security operations centers (SOCs), facilitating faster incident responses and smoother operations in diverse settings. It can be used as a standalone product, marking a notable step forward in software-driven infrastructure security.
Michael Roth, General Manager of Adva Network Security, stated, “Security Director is built to make complicated security tasks much simpler. By automating jobs like credential rotation and compliance checks, IT teams can focus on more urgent matters. This ensures greater accuracy and reduces the risk of errors.”
The software enhances security by simplifying key exchange between encryption systems, using methods like password-based authentication and fingerprint-like pairing to guard against threats such as man-in-the-middle attacks. It also helps set up embedded Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems for better management of encryption keys and privileged account passwords. A compliance engine further checks over 20 critical configuration settings, offering insights that help in reducing risks.
Designed for private cloud environments, Security Director has a flexible architecture to deliver secure services effectively. Currently, it supports devices like the Adtran FSP 150-XG118Pro, with plans for future compatibility with the Adtran FSP 3000 platform.
Josef Sißmeir, also a General Manager at Adva Network Security, highlighted the increasing challenges faced by organizations, including growing network complexity and a shortage of skilled workers. “Security Director takes a lot of weight off IT teams, ensuring they meet regulations while also providing strong protection for their networks,” he said. The service comes with various subscription options, allowing IT teams to select features that best fit their needs and strengthen their defensive measures.
In short, Security Director is a promising solution for organizations looking to enhance their cybersecurity measures while easing the workload on their IT staff.
