Prime Minister Modi to Visit Uttarakhand Amid Monsoon Crisis
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Uttarakhand on Thursday to assess the damage caused by the heavy monsoon rains that have affected every district in the state.
The Prime Minister will arrive in Dehradun in the evening. At around 4:15 p.m., he plans to conduct an aerial survey of the areas hit hardest by the floods to understand the scale of the destruction.
Following the survey, he will lead a review meeting at 5 p.m. with state and central officials to discuss the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Officials mentioned that comprehensive security measures are in place for the Prime Minister’s visit.
Uttarakhand has been experiencing severe weather-related disasters over the past few months, including cloudbursts, landslides, and flash floods, leading to significant damage across the region.
