Pakistan Secures Victory Over UAE in Thrilling Tri-Series Match

In a closely contested match in Sharjah, Pakistan emerged victorious against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), winning by 31 runs. The match highlighted impressive performances from young talents Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz, along with Hasan Ali’s crucial wickets.

After their solid 39-run win against Afghanistan in the series opener, Pakistan set out to demonstrate their batting strength once again. Saim Ayub shone brightly, scoring 69 runs off just 38 balls, featuring seven boundaries and four sixes. His aggressive batting gave Pakistan a strong start, as he reached his fifty in just 25 deliveries.

Hasan Nawaz continued the momentum, scoring a quick 56 off 26 balls and reaching his half-century in 24 balls. With both players on fire, Pakistan posted a formidable total of 207 runs.

The UAE began their chase positively with captain Muhammad Waseem, who contributed 33 runs off 18 balls. However, the innings took a downturn as wickets fell quickly, leaving them at 76 for five. Just when it seemed like the game was slipping away, Asif Khan stepped up, igniting a spirited comeback. He blasted 77 runs off just 35 balls, reaching his fifty in 25 balls and thrilling the Sharjah crowd with his six sixes.

Despite Asif’s impressive innings, Hasan Ali intervened, taking three wickets, including that of Asif in the 19th over. Mohammad Nawaz supported him well, keeping the UAE in check with figures of 2 for 21. The UAE ultimately finished their innings at 176 for eight, falling short of their target but showing great effort.

Brief Scores:

  • Pakistan: 207/8 in 20 overs (Saim Ayub 69, Hasan Nawaz 56; Saghir Khan 3/44, Junaid Siddiqui 3/49)
  • UAE: 176/8 in 20 overs (Asif Khan 77, Muhammad Waseem 33; Hasan Ali 3/47, Mohammad Nawaz 2/21)

Result: Pakistan won by 31 runs.
