Yash Raj Films’ casting director, Shanoo Sharma, recently spoke about Ranveer Singh’s departure from the company that helped launch his career. In an interview, Sharma clarified that there’s no hard feeling regarding the actor leaving and expressed her support for his new journey.
Sharma explained, “I don’t think it hurt. It’s all part of life’s journey. I wish him the best. There’s a reason for his decision, and the production house understands it. Everything has its time, and then it changes. There’s no bad blood; he just needed to move on, and he’s still my best friend.”
Ranveer Singh began his career with YRF in 2010 with the film Band Baaja Baarat, which was a surprise hit and marked him as a rising star in Bollywood. He went on to work with the production house in several successful films, including Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Gunday, and Befikre.
Even though he has parted ways with YRF, Singh has often shown appreciation for Aditya Chopra and the team for their role in his early success. His exit signifies a new chapter for him, but both he and YRF seem to have moved on positively.
Currently, Ranveer Singh is preparing for Dhurandhar, a much-anticipated movie featuring actors like Akshaye Khanna and Sanjay Dutt, directed by Aditya Dhar. The film is set to release on December 5 and is creating excitement among fans due to its strong cast. Singh is also set to star in Don 3, taking on the character made famous by Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
Sharma’s remarks highlight that in Bollywood, relationships can change, and departures don’t always mean conflict. She continues to perceive Singh as a friend and a talented individual while he forges ahead in his career outside YRF.
