Farhan Akhtar is making a much-anticipated return to the cinema with 120 Bahadur, a film that highlights the heroic Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Indo-China War. This battle, known for its bravery, is one of the remarkable moments in Indian military history.
The teaser for the film is set to be released on August 5, 2025, giving audiences a sneak peek into this untold story. Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, the film features Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC. He led 120 Indian soldiers in a fierce defense of Ladakh against a much larger Chinese force. Their brave efforts ultimately forced the Chinese to agree to a ceasefire, a significant detail that the film aims to portray with depth.
Filmed across the stunning landscapes of Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai, the production faced the challenge of recreating high-altitude battle scenes at elevations of 14,000 feet and under extreme conditions, with temperatures dipping to -10°C. To enhance authenticity and scale, the crew included an award-winning action team from All Quiet on the Western Front and collaborated with Snow Business, a UK-based company known for crafting impactful war environments.
120 Bahadur is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banner Excel Entertainment, along with Amit Chandrra of Trigger Happy Studios. The film is scheduled for release in theaters on November 21, 2025, capturing the incredible tale of Rezang La and celebrating the legacy of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati.
Mark your calendars for the teaser release on August 5!
