The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that Bashir’s left pinky finger was fractured while he was bowling to Indian batsman Ravindra Jadeja. In a challenging moment, Jadeja hit a low drive straight back at Bashir, forcing him to exit the game after just 5.5 overs. Despite the setback, Bashir managed to claim the final wicket of Mohammed Siraj, contributing to England’s memorable win.
The ECB has announced that they will reveal their squad for the upcoming fourth Test at Emirates Old Trafford in the next few days. This crucial match is set to begin on July 23 in Manchester.
