Indian Delegation in Brussels: A Strong Stand Against Terrorism
Brussels, June 4: An all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, visited Brussels to discuss terrorism with the Indian community and local think tanks. The delegation emphasized India’s strong stance against cross-border terrorism, especially in the wake of the recent attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
Members of the Indian diaspora expressed their support for the victims of the attack and voiced their solidarity with India’s fight against terrorism. The delegation paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the Indian Embassy, highlighting India’s commitment to peace and tolerance.
Indian Ambassador to Belgium, Saurabh Kumar, welcomed the delegation and briefed them on India’s key priorities, including cooperation in counter-terrorism. On social media, Prasad shared that their two-day visit aims to strengthen international collaboration to tackle terrorism.
The delegation has planned several meetings, including discussions with European Union representatives and Belgian officials, related to recent terrorist activities and India’s determined response. They aim to foster a collective global effort against terrorism.
The delegation consists of diverse political figures, including members from BJP, Congress, and Shiv Sena. Their visit to Belgium follows previous stops in France, Italy, Denmark, and the UK, as part of a broader diplomatic campaign to address Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
This visit marks a vital step in reaffirming India’s commitments against terrorism and showcasing the importance of global cooperation in the fight against this threat.
