Grayling Opens New Mental Health Drop-In Center
GRAYLING, Mich. — The city of Grayling has unveiled its first mental health drop-in center, named "Hope Begins Here," located on Lawndale Street.
An open house was held this afternoon, inviting individuals facing mental health challenges who have been medically diagnosed or supported by community mental health services.
The center provides a welcoming space where people can connect with peers, engage in fun activities, and find comfort in knowing they’re not alone on their mental health journeys.
"For me, mental health has been a struggle. I am grateful to have a place like this where people support me. I think I gain more from them than they do from me, and it’s a wonderful feeling to know that I’m not alone," shared Autumn Book, director of Hope Begins Here.
Book mentioned that this initiative has been in the works for almost two years.
Anyone interested in learning more or getting involved with Hope Begins Here is encouraged to contact the organization directly.
