A young cricket fan recently had a memorable moment with India’s star batter, Rohit Sharma, when he asked him how to get him out while batting. Rohit, who had just played a fantastic innings of 81 runs in 50 balls against the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 Eliminator, gave a light-hearted response, saying that it’s simply not possible.
In a video that’s been making the rounds on social media, the young fan eagerly posed the question: “Sir, how can we get you out?” to which Rohit swiftly replied, “That’s not possible.” This fun exchange drew smiles and laughter, showcasing the friendly side of one of India’s top cricket players.
During this IPL season, Rohit has been a key player for the Mumbai Indians, accumulating 410 runs from 14 innings. His average stands at 31.53 with an impressive strike rate of 150.18, including four half-centuries. After a rough start to the season, where he was dismissed for zero in his first match, Rohit bounced back to score a decisive 76 not out in a rematch against the Chennai Super Kings and delivered solid performances against teams like the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. His standout knock of 81 against the Titans included nine fours and four sixes, contributing to a significant team total of 228/5.
In the process, Rohit also reached 300 sixes in IPL history, making him only the second player to achieve this milestone after the legendary Chris Gayle, who hit 357 sixes. The Mumbai Indians won the match against the Titans by 20 runs, holding the Titans to 208/6.
Looking ahead, the Mumbai Indians are set to face the Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2 on June 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The winner will advance to meet the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament final on June 3.
