The school education department has announced that all government and private schools in the Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, and Samba districts will be closed today as a safety precaution. The Directorate did not specify the reason for this decision.

In contrast, schools in Udhampur district, as well as those in the Bani, Basholi, Mahanpur, Bhaddu, Malhar, and Billawar zones of the Kathua district, will remain open.

The official statement from the department confirms that while schools in Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, and Samba are closed today, educational institutions in the mentioned areas of Udhampur and Kathua will continue their regular operations.
