Actor Janhvi Kapoor has expressed her anger over a tragic road accident in Jaipur that resulted in the death of a 14-year-old girl. Taking to Instagram Stories, she criticized the dangerous behavior that endangers lives.
Sharing a video on the issue, Janhvi questioned the mindlessness behind the incident, asking, "What allows such reckless behavior? How can anyone think it’s acceptable to drive under the influence of alcohol, putting themselves and others at risk?"
She remarked on the shocking nature of such crimes and highlighted the alarming number of deaths and injuries caused by drunk driving. “Why aren’t we more aware and respectful of the fact that this is against the law?” she added.
As reported, a woman reportedly driving while intoxicated crashed her car into a motorcycle in Jaipur, leading to the young girl’s death and injuries to two others who were also on the bike. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.
Janhvi has previously spoken out against similar incidents. Recently, she addressed another road accident in Vadodara, where a 20-year-old law student crashed into two bikes, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. She expressed her distress over such behavior, stating, “This is appalling and enraging. It makes me sick to see anyone thinking they can get away with this.”
On the work front, Janhvi is set to appear alongside Sidharth Malhotra in the upcoming romantic comedy Param Sundari, which tells the love story of a “North ka munda” and a “South ki Sundari.” The film is scheduled for release on July 25. She will also star with Ram Charan in his latest project, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
