Uttar Pradesh to Expel All Pakistani Citizens After Terror Attack
In the wake of a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced that all Pakistani citizens, except for one, have been expelled as per directives from the central government.
Authorities stated that the last remaining Pakistani citizen is scheduled to be deported on Wednesday and is currently under close watch by both police and intelligence agencies.
Following the Pahalgam attack on April 22, the central government quickly advised all states to repatriate Pakistani nationals. Prashant Kumar, the Director General of Police, confirmed that under the direction of the chief minister, measures were put in place across the state to ensure the swift return of these citizens.
According to the report, “100 percent of Pakistani citizens have been deported, with local police teams assisting them to the border. Only one Pakistani national remains, who will be deported on April 30.”
This makes Uttar Pradesh the first state in India to take such prompt and thorough action regarding the repatriation of Pakistani citizens, ensuring all procedures were followed at the border.
