Aamir Khan is set to make a comeback to the silver screen after three years, following his film Laal Singh Chaddha (2022). His new movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, is expected to hit theaters by the end of May 2025. Directed by RS Prasanna, who is renowned for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017), this film is being described as a “spiritual successor” to the beloved movie Taare Zameen Par (2007). However, this time the narrative shifts focus from childhood learning disabilities to adult men with intellectual challenges who find their purpose through the empowering journey of sports.
Recently, the film team filmed a special song sequence in Marol, Mumbai, featuring Aamir Khan alongside Genelia Deshmukh, who plays an important role in the film. While details about the song’s context within the story remain a mystery, its presence suggests a mix of heartfelt moments and lively storytelling consistent with the spirit of the previous film.
The song was created during a five-day shoot led by director RS Prasanna and choreographer Vijay Ganguly. A source who witnessed the filming stated, “It’s a feel-good track. Its role in the movie is still uncertain, but it may serve as a special number in the credits, perhaps highlighting the movie’s core themes in a montage.”
As for post-production, it is reportedly nearing completion, and Aamir Khan has plans to kick off the promotional campaign in early May. A source mentioned, “The film’s theme is particularly meaningful to Aamir. He wants to generate early buzz and carefully position the movie in the public eye.”
With Sitaare Zameen Par, audiences can expect an inspiring story that showcases the transformative power of sports, all while reflecting the emotional depth that characterized Khan’s previous works.
