The health of Pope Francis continues to show stability, according to the latest update from the Holy See Press Office. They mentioned that while the Pope is making progress, there is still no information about when he might leave the hospital.

In their statement released on Friday evening, the Holy See Press Office provided specific details about the Pope’s current health. They noted that during the night, he is no longer using a ventilation mask; instead, he is receiving high-flow oxygen through nasal tubes. Throughout the day, he has been using less high-flow oxygen, indicating an improvement in his breathing.

Even though the Pope’s respiratory and motor functions are showing positive signs, the doctors have not yet set a timeline for his discharge. Today, he did not have any visitors but focused on prayer, therapy, and various work tasks within the hospital.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the Holy See Press Office confirmed that the Sunday Angelus will proceed as usual, similar to previous Sundays. They also assured that any new information would be shared promptly if available. However, the next medical update is expected to be released no sooner than Monday.

Pope Francis has been hospitalized at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital for the past five weeks for treatment of bilateral pneumonia, having been admitted on February 14.
