Salman Khan recently spoke about his experiences in prison during his first podcast appearance on “Dumb Biryani,” hosted by his nephew Arhaan Khan. The conversation turned personal as the actor discussed significant moments from both his life and career.
During the podcast, Salman reflected on the lessons he learned about hard work and discipline. He noted that making excuses, such as feeling too tired to work, can prevent people from reaching their goals. Salman emphasized the importance of determination in achieving success.
He shared his philosophy, saying, “When you feel tired, push yourself to get up. If you can’t sleep, do something productive instead. I often get by on very little sleep, sometimes just an hour or two, with an occasional longer rest once a month.” Salman also mentioned that in between shoots, he grabs moments to rest, even if it’s just closing his eyes for a few minutes.
He recalled his time in jail, saying, “In situations where I had no control, like being imprisoned, I had to accept it and simply sleep.” He underlined the need to consistently invest effort not just in work but also in nurturing relationships with family and friends.
Salman Khan’s legal troubles stemmed from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which led to his imprisonment. In 2006, he was sentenced to five years in prison but was out on bail shortly afterward. He faced further legal issues in 2018, which resulted in another brief stint behind bars.
Looking ahead, Salman is set to appear in the upcoming film “Sikandar,” directed by AR Murugadoss, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The movie is slated for release on Eid this year. In addition to “Sikandar,” he will also be featured in “Kick 2” in the near future.
