Seer Transforms Lives, Guiding Youth Away from Substance Abuse
Prayagraj: A former perfume-maker turned spiritual guide has made a significant impact at the Maha Kumbh festival, where she has inspired many individuals to overcome drug addiction. Swami Ananta Giri, who once faced immense personal challenges when her husband fell into addiction, is now a beacon of hope for thousands seeking a better life.
Her journey into spirituality began after encountering deep personal turmoil, which propelled her to search for meaning beyond her struggles. Under the mentorship of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Charanashrit Giri, Ananta adopted the practice of Shri Vidya Sadhana, an ancient spiritual discipline involving the use of mantras and meditation techniques.
Leaving her previous career in the fragrance industry behind, Ananta dedicated herself to helping others. To date, she has supported over 10,000 young people, guiding them away from addiction and towards the teachings of Sanatan Dharm. Notably, more than 200 of her mentees have launched their own successful businesses in India, Canada, and New Zealand.
Inspired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Swami Ananta is actively promoting awareness about spiritual practices at the Maha Kumbh. Her initiatives include teaching Swar Yoga, a technique aimed at unlocking inner energy through breathing methods such as the Gayatri Mantra and Agnihotra. She is also involved in Nadi Vigyan, which focuses on living in sync with the environment.
Through her work at Swar Yoga Peeth in Rishikesh, Ananta continues to mentor youth, helping them find their purpose and pursue a life free from substance abuse. Her story is a powerful reminder of resilience and the capacity for change, showcasing how one person’s transformation can lead to the healing of many.
