The case involving actor Saif Ali Khan, which initially appeared to be a simple robbery turned complicated following new developments. After Khan returned to his home and shared that he had seen the intruder in his son Jeh’s room, speculations began to arise about a possible kidnapping angle. Recent investigations have indicated that the Mumbai police now suspect there may be multiple people involved in the case.
The police are currently focused on a suspect identified as Vijay Das, also known as Shariful Mohammad Amin Fakir, a 30-year-old from Bangladesh. He was apprehended in Thane City, and investigators have confirmed his presence at Khan’s home through matching fingerprints. However, the suspect has reportedly been uncooperative during questioning. The police have communicated to the court their concerns about more individuals being involved, resulting in an extension of Shariful’s custody until January 29 to facilitate further investigations.
The incident occurred on January 16 when Khan was attacked in his Bandra residence at around 2:00 AM. He suffered multiple stab wounds while attempting to protect his family. Following the attack, Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital for emergency surgery and was discharged on January 21, where he assured fans of his recovery.
