At the event, Shah Rukh Khan humorously reflected on his long association with the IIFA, saying, “I didn’t realize until just a couple of weeks ago that I have been working with Andre, Viraf, and Sabbas for 25 years.” He acknowledged their dedication and warmth throughout the years, recalling how they went above and beyond to support the artists at every awards ceremony.
He continued with a heartfelt note, saying, “I pray they keep taking Indian cinema to new heights and making us relevant.” He fondly remembered the past IIFA events and expressed excitement about their production quality and hospitality, noting how they ensured everything ran smoothly during the celebrations.
Shah Rukh also emphasized the importance of hosting the awards in India, suggesting, “It’s wonderful to hold the event here. There’s no better place than Rajasthan for this special occasion. Everyone is invited to join us and celebrate our film industry.”
He shared an exciting update regarding his upcoming film, “King,” mentioning that he is in the midst of filming but is eager to be part of the 25th IIFA celebration in Jaipur on March 9.
During the conference, Kartik Aaryan expressed his thrill at the opportunity to host the awards alongside Shah Rukh Khan. After his speech, Shah Rukh humorously handed the mic back to Kartik, saying, “He’s hosting this year, so let me teach him how to start the event in Jaipur.”
Under Shah Rukh’s guidance, Kartik practiced a traditional local greeting, delighting the audience and creating a lively atmosphere. Both stars exchanged friendly gestures and received warm applause, building anticipation for the awards ceremony ahead.
