Basil Joseph, known for his hit film Minnal Murali, is once again making headlines with his new superhero project. After expressing interest in creating more superhero dramas, rumors have surfaced that he is developing a sequel to his acclaimed work. There is also speculation about a superhero film inspired by the classic Indian hero, Shaktimaan, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role. Excitingly, recent reports suggest that Wamiqa Gabbi is set to play the female lead alongside Singh.

According to sources, Wamiqa Gabbi, recognized for her recent performance in Baby John, is a strong contender for the role. A report from Mid-day revealed that discussions are ongoing, and the pairing of Wamiqa and Ranveer would make for an interesting combination in this long-awaited project. The film is currently in its pre-production phase, with Basil holding several meetings with Ranveer to shape the concept. While the script is still being finalized, the casting will be confirmed once everything is settled.

The Shaktimaan film has been surrounded by discussions since it was first announced. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Sony Pictures India, it aims to revive the nostalgic appeal of the 90s superhero series. However, Mukesh Khanna, the original Shaktimaan actor, previously stated that Ranveer Singh would not be associated with the project.

Wamiqa Gabbi is busy with several projects. Fresh from acclaim for her role in Baby John, where she portrayed a teacher and an undercover cop, she has begun filming a new romantic comedy titled Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling in Goa. This film is directed by Vikas Bahl and features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Jaya Bachchan. In addition, Gabbi is set to appear in several upcoming films, including Bhoot Bangla with Akshay Kumar and G2 starring Adivi Sesh.

With all this buzz around Wamiqa Gabbi and the promising superhero drama, fans are eagerly looking forward to what’s next for both the actress and the film.
