Days after comedian and actor Sunil Pal made headlines by claiming he was kidnapped, another shocking incident has come to light involving actor Mushtaq Khan. His business partner, Shivam Yadav, revealed that Khan was also kidnapped on November 20. According to Yadav, Khan was invited to an awards show in Meerut, and upon arriving in Delhi, he was taken in a car that was said to be heading to the event. Instead, he found himself near Bijnor, where he realized he had been abducted.
Yadav shared that Khan had initially trusted the situation since he had received advance payment for the show and had flight tickets arranged for him. He expressed concern about how shaken Khan and his family were following the incident. “Mushtaq sir was determined to file a police report after he calmed down,” Yadav stated. “I went to Bijnor yesterday and submitted an official FIR. We have evidence including his flight tickets, bank transactions, and even CCTV footage from near the airport. He can identify the neighborhood and the house where he was held.”
In a harrowing account of the ordeal, Yadav mentioned that the kidnappers tortured Khan for twelve hours, demanding a ransom of Rs. 1 crore. They successfully extracted Rs. 2 lakh from the accounts of Khan and his son. He noted that while hearing the morning azaan from a nearby mosque, Khan seized the opportunity to escape, seeking assistance from locals before finally returning home with police help.
Mushtaq Khan, known for his roles in the popular films “Welcome” and the recent hit “Stree 2,” will be addressing the media in the coming days regarding his experience.
Yadav pointed out the unsettling similarity between Khan’s case and that of Sunil Pal, raising concerns about the possibility of a new pattern of celebrity kidnappings. “We were unaware of the previous incident until we discussed it with friends after Mushtaq’s return. It’s alarming that two public figures faced similar threats. We hope this brings about greater awareness and security for everyone in the industry,” Yadav added.
