Rishab Shetty Takes Center Stage as Shivaji Maharaj in Sandeep Singh’s Epic Action Drama, ‘The Pride Of Bharat’

Rishab Shetty, a nationally acclaimed actor and filmmaker, is all set to take on a monumental role in Indian cinema. Teaming up with director Sandeep Singh, they will bring the remarkable story of Shivaji Maharaj, one of India’s most revered warriors, to the big screen in a film titled The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Sandeep Singh, known for his notable works like Mary Kom and Bajirao Mastani, recently unveiled the film’s first-look poster, which features Rishab Shetty embodying the legendary king whose bravery continues to inspire many. The film aims to showcase action on an unprecedented scale, with cutting-edge visuals and an impressive musical score, promising audiences a spectacular cinematic experience. It aims to chronicle the life of Shivaji Maharaj, a leader who not only shaped history but also challenged the Mughal Empire.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Rishab Shetty stated, "As soon as I heard about Sandeep’s vision for The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, I was immediately on board. It is an immense honor to portray a national hero whose legacy is timeless. I take great pride in sharing his story with the world."

Director Sandeep Singh echoed similar sentiments, stating that Rishab was his first and only choice for the lead role. He highlighted Rishab’s embodiment of the strength and spirit of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. "This film represents my long-time dream, and I feel privileged to bring this significant chapter of history to life on screen," he added, revealing that the film will feature groundbreaking action sequences aimed at elevating Indian cinema to a global stage.

The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is set to release worldwide on January 21, 2027. In addition to this epic project, Rishab Shetty has other exciting films in the pipeline, including Kantara: Chapter 1, slated for release in 2025, and Jai Hanuman, expected to hit theaters in 2026.

This upcoming movie is not just a visual spectacle; it’s a celebration of an important historical figure whose story transcends time and continues to resonate across generations.
