Mukesh Khanna has been making headlines on social media for his traditional views on the Indian film industry. He has shared his thoughts on various topics, such as the controversy surrounding the song "Besharam Rang" from the movie Pathaan and Ranveer Singh’s bold magazine cover. While some support his opinions, others have criticized him.
Recently, at an event, Mukesh Khanna, known for his role as Shaktimaan, commented on Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Prithviraj Chauhan in the film Samrat Prithviraj. Dressed in his iconic Shaktimaan costume, he questioned whether Akshay truly looked the part of the legendary king. He stated, "Akshay Kumar kyun nahi lage Prithviraj Chauhan? Sirf muche aur wig lagaake thodi na ban sakte hai? Ek gait chahiye" (Why does Akshay Kumar not look like Prithviraj Chauhan? Just putting on a moustache and wig won’t make him a king; you need to have the demeanor).
This comment quickly spread on social media, leading to mixed reactions from users. While some agreed with Mukesh’s perspective, others expressed their disagreement, even age-shaming him for his remarks about the prominent Bollywood actor. Comments like, “Khud ko dekh le baloda budhape mai jawani foot rahi h bkl ki” (Look at yourself, pretending to be young in your old age) and “Ye kyon Ghoom raha ha joker ban ke” (Why is he walking around like a joker) surfaced from netizens unhappy with his criticism.
Mukesh Khanna rose to fame as the superhero Shaktimaan in the popular Doordarshan series of the same name. Beyond that, he has had a successful career in various films and television shows over the years.
