Behind the Scenes: Anees Bazmee Talks Dual Climaxes and Secrets in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan

This Diwali promises cinematic fireworks as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again battle it out for audience attention. In a riveting conversation, director Anees Bazmee unveiled his audacious strategy of filming not one, but two climaxes for the eagerly awaited threequel featuring a stellar cast, including Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit. Bazmee, a maestro of suspense, shrouded the film’s narrative in secrecy, sharing scant details with the ensemble cast.

In a candid exchange, the director expressed, "The essence of our approach was to maintain an air of mystery. We didn’t want the climax details spilling over. Typically, the first show’s revelations flatten the excitement, but I believe audiences relish the unfolding of a good tale. If they enjoy the film, they’ll share the enthusiasm, urging others to witness it without spoilers — that’s the beauty of it. A film should respect the audience’s right to a thrilling experience, especially when they’ve invested their hard-earned money and affection into it."

Bazmee further disclosed the enigmatic atmosphere on set, where even the actors remained blissfully unaware of the dual climactic twists. “I deliberately kept them in the dark, telling some one version, while others received an entirely different narrative,” he detailed. "Even the scriptwriters weren’t privy to the actual endings. We shot multiple climaxes, creating a whirlwind of confusion. It was exhilarating to see their puzzled expressions. The unpredictability injected a lively thrill — it’s not only the characters in the film who should be guessing; the audience ought to venture theories as well."

Concluding with a sense of camaraderie, he remarked, “Amidst this playful chaos, just a handful of us were in on the secret. The production team was substantial, yet we cultivated an intimate atmosphere, spinning a web of clever ruses and revelry. After all, movie-making should be a joy-filled endeavor. If the process is enjoyable for us, it resonates with those around. We laughed, we chatted, and truly cherished the creative journey.”

Directed by the visionary Anees Bazmee and brought to fruition by Bhushan Kumar, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is primed for its grand unveiling on November 1, 2024. The anticipation is palpable, as audiences eagerly await to delve into the layers of mystery that this innovative approach promises.
