Bengaluru Airshow Highlights Innovations from Local Aerospace Companies

Bengaluru is buzzing with excitement as local aerospace manufacturers showcase their latest technology at an ongoing airshow. This event is part of the Karnataka Udyog Mitra initiative, aimed at promoting homegrown aerospace innovations.

The state government selected 25 companies from a pool of over 100 applicants to have their creations on display in a specially designated pavilion. "This initiative is a great way to support our local manufacturers and encourage future growth. Each chosen company received free stall space after a careful review by our senior officials," explained Dodda Basavaraju, managing director of Karnataka Udyog Mitra.

The exhibition features a wide variety of groundbreaking technologies, including advanced satellites, simulation tools, radar communications, and specialized aluminum materials. One of the highlights is Presnost Measures from the Peenya industrial area, which is showcasing its innovative quantum scan arms technology. "Our equipment merges probe inspection with blue light scanning to deliver high precision for defense and aircraft parts. It’s been incredibly beneficial for smaller businesses like ours," said Ganga Prakash, the managing director.

Another notable participant, Legend Technologies, based in Avalahalli, is presenting its unique slip rings technology, which is crucial for power and data transmission in defense systems.

Adding to the impressive showcase, Bengaluru’s NeoSky, part of RattanIndia Enterprises, is displaying five advanced drone models, including the Swat, Tavas, and a weaponized version. These drones are designed for various uses including defense surveillance, law enforcement, and civil monitoring. "We’ve welcomed over 200 visitors to our stall and expect to generate at least 10 solid leads," noted Aniket Tambavekar, post-sales manager at NeoSky.

Several participating firms have already begun signing memorandums of understanding to collaborate on future production projects, indicating a promising outlook for the aerospace sector in Karnataka.
