IPL 2025: Vaibhav Arora Excited to Rejoin KKR, Prefers Loyalty Over Other Teams

Vaibhav Arora Excited to Return to KKR for Another IPL Season

Kolkata Knight Riders bowler Vaibhav Arora expressed his happiness about returning to the team, stating that he has no desire to play for any other franchise. His contributions were essential in KKR’s triumph in the 2024 season, where he took 11 wickets in 10 matches, helping the team secure their third championship.

After an intense bidding process involving Rajasthan and Delhi, KKR welcomed Vaibhav back for a fee of 1.8 crores. He remarked on the deep emotional bond he shares with the franchise, describing it as a family. Having spent the last four seasons with KKR, his connection with the team is strong.

“It felt special to return to KKR. I’ve been with them for the last four years, and there is a real emotional attachment. When KKR picked me again, it was a relief to go back to the team I won the title with last year. I didn’t want to play for any other team,” he said.

As the new season approaches, Vaibhav has been diligently working on his skills, particularly focusing on his slower deliveries and yorkers, to enhance his performance in the crucial final overs of matches.

“I had a good run during the powerplay in 2024, and I want to carry that confidence forward. I am putting in the effort to improve my death bowling, focusing on slower balls, yorkers, and other variations, even when playing red ball cricket. I aim to bring that execution into white ball cricket and perform well at any stage of the game,” he added.

Reuniting with a Teammate

In addition to Vaibhav, KKR also retained one of its rising stars, Harshit Rana, who has recently made his debut for the Indian national team. Vaibhav spoke warmly about his bond with Harshit, noting the strong connection they developed while bowling from opposite ends.

“It feels like reuniting with a brother now that we’re back at KKR together. This is our third season as teammates. Although we didn’t play together in the beginning, when we eventually did, we contributed well to the team. Our partnership was effective last year when we won the trophy, and that connection off the field adds to our performance on it. Harshit was retained while I was brought back, and it truly feels like brothers have reunited,” he shared.

With the new season ahead, KKR aims to defend their title and add a fourth championship to their collection. Fans are eager to see how Vaibhav and his teammates will perform as they strive for continued success.
