Indiaspora Celebrates Growing Role of Indian-Americans in Trump Administration
Indiaspora, an influential organization representing the Indian community, has expressed its enthusiasm for President Donald Trump’s upcoming second term. The group is particularly pleased with the increasing presence of Indian-Americans in significant government roles across various sectors such as civil rights, national security, and technology.
"We are excited to see more Indian Americans getting involved in politics and are proud of how their voices are being heard in American political discussions," said Indiaspora, which has been promoting non-partisan political involvement since it was established in 2012, just before Trump’s first inauguration.
Indiaspora also extended congratulations to five Indian-Americans—Harmeet Kaur Dhillon, Vivek Ramaswamy, Kash Patel, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, and Sriram Krishnan—who have been selected for important positions within the new Trump administration.
MR Rangaswami, the Founder and Chairman of Indiaspora, remarked, "On behalf of Indiaspora and the Indian-American community, I congratulate President Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States. I believe that US-India relations will continue to thrive in this new political landscape. Senior officials from both nations have built strong connections during Trump’s first term, and there’s considerable bipartisan support in the U.S. to further enhance this vital relationship."
Sanjeev Joshipura, Executive Director of Indiaspora, shared, "For many years, we have focused on boosting the civic and political engagement of the Indian diaspora in a nonpartisan way and strengthening ties between the US and India. It’s encouraging to see that in each new American administration, regardless of party affiliation, Indian Americans are appointed to high-level government positions. The incoming Trump administration is maintaining this positive trend. Moreover, Indiaspora plans to continue fostering bilateral discussions, just as we did in New Delhi and Houston during Trump’s previous term."
Indiaspora identifies itself as a nonprofit community of prominent Indian leaders from various fields who are dedicated to motivating the diaspora to create positive change. The organization provides a platform for collaboration and social engagement, striving to make a meaningful impact in society.
