Air India has announced that it will temporarily run daily flights between Delhi and Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh, responding to the increased travel demand for the event. This service will be available from January 25 to February 28, 2025, according to a statement released on January 14.
The flights will offer both economy and premium economy seating options. With convenient daytime departures in both directions, travelers will have easy connections through Delhi to various destinations across India, as well as to countries in North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
Currently, Air India and Air India Express do not operate regular flights to Prayagraj. In addition, SpiceJet has revealed plans for daily special flights connecting Prayagraj with Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, starting from January 12 and lasting until February 28.
Other airlines like IndiGo and Akasa Air also provide flights to Prayagraj from multiple cities, enhancing accessibility for the Kumbh Mela participants.
