McGrath Hails Bumrah as Key Player in Test Series Against Australia
Glenn McGrath, the legendary fast bowler from Australia, has showered praise on Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah, highlighting his crucial role in the ongoing Test series between India and Australia. McGrath believes that without Bumrah’s contributions, the series might have been heavily tilted in favor of Australia.

Recently, McGrath commented on the impact Bumrah has had on the series, stating, "He is a massive part of the Indian team. Without him, the series could have been much more one-sided. What he does on the field is truly special. He is a terrific young talent who has adapted so well, especially in the way he delivers the ball."
McGrath also drew a comparison between Bumrah’s unique bowling style and his own. He noted Bumrah’s hyperextended arm and praised his exceptional control over the ball. "Like me, he has some hyperextension, but he manages it well. His bowling control is impressive, and I’m a huge fan of Jasprit," McGrath added.

Bumrah has had a remarkable year on the field, finishing as the top wicket-taker in Test matches for 2024 with 71 wickets from 13 matches, maintaining an impressive average of 14.92 and achieving five five-wicket hauls. His consistent performances have solidified his standing in international cricket, making him one of the best bowlers with over 200 wickets.
As the Indian team prepares for their final Test against Australia in Sydney, Bumrah is keen to keep up his excellent form and help India level the series at 2-2.
