“Avengers Endgame: Encore” Has Landed with New Surprises
The highly anticipated release of Avengers Endgame: Encore has finally arrived, bringing back the beloved superhero saga to theaters nationwide. This new edition of the 2019 blockbuster Avengers: Endgame features extra footage that seamlessly leads into Avengers: Doomsday, the next big chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
An early viewing took place at an IMAX theater in South Mumbai on the release day, Friday, September 25. Attendees were eager to discover what fresh content this special encore would offer, especially around its new ending and credit scenes.

Most of those in attendance were no strangers to Avengers: Endgame, having watched it numerous times over the years. However, they stayed glued to their seats for the entire three-hour runtime, occasionally cheering and clapping at favorite scenes. The energy peaked when Captain America finally declared, “Avengers… Assemble,” making it feel like fans had traveled back to the film’s original release.
The Big Surprise Before the Credits Roll
Many fans had speculated about the additional scenes after hearing hints and leaks, but Marvel managed to keep one key surprise under wraps until the film’s end. While the original Avengers: Endgame concluded with Steve Rogers having his dream dance with Peggy Carter, this encore version takes an unexpected turn when someone knocks on the door during their dance. The visitor turns out to be none other than Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, leaving Steve in shock.
This twist not only revisits a poignant moment but also cleverly connects to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. Such a bold change is rare for re-releases, making it all the more special for fans who thought they knew what to expect.

In the first one, Bruce Banner is filmed recording a video log in a highly secure underground bunker. Attempting to find a solution for his recent issues with the Hulk, Banner isolates himself, but things take a turn when the power starts to flicker. He learns that someone has entered the facility, and that someone is Doctor Doom—though we only hear his voice. The scene ends with a roar as Banner transforms into the Hulk, leaving viewers puzzled about Doom’s motives.
The second scene brings us back to the Time Variance Authority (TVA), where familiar characters are monitoring alarming multiversal events. They discover that Earth-10005 and Earth-1127 are on a crash course with each other, escalating into chaos as they fire missiles at one another. The scenes emphasize the looming crisis across the multiverse, hinting at the immense challenges that await in Avengers: Doomsday.
Finally, the encore ends with a nod to Avengers: Endgame‘s original release, repeating the iconic sound of hammering metal. This time, however, there’s a visual connection as we catch glimpses of a figure forging a mask, hinting at the emergence of Doctor Doom. The reuse of this audio perfectly ties the beginnings of both characters together, making it a memorable moment.
As Avengers: Endgame: Encore brings new layers to the beloved story, fans can only guess what the future holds. With its significant twists, expect it to break records at the box office when it hits theaters on December 18.
