The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently reviewed the upcoming film Vibe, directed by Kunal Kemmu, and gave it an ‘A’ certificate on September 11. Known for its mix of comedy and action, the film has generated considerable interest, particularly due to its star-studded cast, including Preity Zinta and Sparsh Shrivastava.
Interestingly, the CBFC did not request any cuts on the visual content, allowing all romantic and action-packed scenes to remain intact. However, they did ask for the muting of a specific offensive phrase and insisted that a disclaimer about drug use be included at the film’s start. After making these adjustments, Vibe was officially cleared for release, with a running time of approximately 2 hours and 26 minutes.
Vibe features a talented cast, with Kunal Kemmu wearing multiple hats as both the director and a lead performer. Alongside Kemmu and Zinta, the film includes Dinesh Lal Yadav, also known as Nirahua, and Yashpal Sharma. This marks Preity Zinta’s second feature since her comeback, following her role in Batwara 1947, which was released last month and also received an adult rating.
As anticipation builds for its release, Vibe is set to hit theaters on September 18, the same day as another major film, Daayra, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan. This film will be significant for Kapoor Khan as it represents her tenth project to receive an ‘A’ rating from the CBFC.
